Pro Bono Mama Glow Doula Support
Our Pro Bono Doula Services offer two paths to connect with a Mama Glow Certified doula who can provide compassionate care during your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey—at no cost. We are here to support you with the care and resources you deserve.
Citywide Doula Initiative (NYC)
The Citywide Doula Initiative provides FREE access to doula support for birthing families focusing on 33 neighborhoods in New York City with the greatest social need.
The Citywide Doula Initiative, funded by the DOHMH and the Fund for Public Health is a New York City based community doula program where pregnant Medicaid eligible clients can access a doula at no cost.
The Mama Glow Foundation is the largest provider of pro bono doula services in the city of New York through this program.
Services Include:
- 3 Prenatal Visits
- Support during labor and birth
- 4 Postnatal visits
Eligibility Requirements
Clients must be medicaid eligible and live within the TRIE neighborhoods.
If you are a teen parent anywhere in NYC, you are eligible.
In addition, the program prioritizes people who:
- Have aged out of foster care
- Have no other labor support
- Are giving birth for the first time, or for the first time in at least 10 years
- Had a previous traumatic birth experience
- Have a high-risk medical condition

The Love Delivered Initiative, funded by Carol’s Daughter in partnership with the Mama Glow Foundation, provides complimentary doula support for Black families in 6 major U.S cities:
- NYC (Metro Area),
- Miami,
- Los Angeles,
- Atlanta,
- Washington D.C, and
- New Orleans
Applicants can apply to be matched with a Mama Glow doula for birth or postpartum doula services.
Birth Doula Services Include:
