5 All Natural Aluminum-Free Deodorants that Truly Work to Fight the Funk

| March 5, 2020

It’s all about the best quality and the most natural ingredients. Just think about it, our skin is the largest organ of the body and absorbs everything we put on it. When greening and cleaning your beauty routine, its critical to look at the areas where we have the most exposure. What products do you use daily? Most of us slab on deodorant under our armpits to minimize any stench accompanied by perspiration.

Parabens, which are preservatives used in some deodorants and antiperspirants, have been shown to mimic the activity of estrogen in the body’s cells. It has been reported that parabens are found in breast tumors. Antiperspirants containing aluminum prevent toxins from being expelled through the body. These toxins congest lymph nodes around the armpits and breast tissue and have been linked to breast cancer. The aluminium in deodorants is also absorbed by the skin, affecting the blood brain barrier and has been linked with the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.

Pregnant women should be using paraben, phthalate, and aluminum-free, plant based deodorants. The fewer the ingredient list, the better. Breastfeeding mothers want to keep the breast and armpit area clear of product. Gone are the days of using your fingers to scoop your natural deodorant and place it unevenly across your armpits. These deodorants contain baking soda and if you are sensitive, apply a dash of apple cider vinegar and warm water to a towel and rinse your underarms before applying.

Here are 5 of our Favorite Deodorants:
