As we settle into the fall season and 19 months into the pandemic, we are all craving connection and community. Mama Glow, is pleased to announce that we are safely bringing our doula community together the last Saturday in October. As a premiere global maternal health platform providing doula education and services supporting families along the reproductive continuum, it’s time that we brought the birth workers and brands we love so much under one roof, at the Atrium in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
The DOULA EXPO by Mama Glow, will gather birth workers and doulas, caregivers, brands, parents and supporters for a day of inspired learning, community, personal growth, work force development, economic empowerment, authentic connection and business building.
On October 31st, we will host our first-ever festival for birth workers, caregivers and the brands designed to support them. The day-long event will center brand education, promote networking for care providers, and uplift resources for business development, economic empowerment and support for safe and equitable birth. The event will take place in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Supplemented by brief keynote presentations, TED style talks, and breakout activities, the festival will be driven by immersive, experiential booths and build-outs, and giveaways.
We anticipate hundreds of people and a range of professionals including: doulas, yoga teachers, lactation professionals, therapists, acupuncturists, nurses, midwives, childbirth educators, healing arts professionals, community advocates, doctors, policymakers and more! Many of those care providers themselves are parents and parents-to-be seeking care to support their own health and wellness journeys. A large number of these attendees are BIPOC female and LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs, as well. Much like The Continuum Conference which was a day long conference hosted at the William Vale Hotel, and chock full of programing; this gathering will be a day long event with brand displays and a stage full of programming as well.
