‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Mama Glow,

The sun wasn’t shining, our spirits were low.

The smoothies were stacked by the Vitamix with care,

In hopes that good health soon would be there;

The avocado was nestled all snug on a bed of gluten-free toast;

While visions of (coconut) sugar-plums danced and we prepared to host…

Whether you’re getting ready to feed a crowd or nourish yourself this Holiday season, make sure you get your GLOW on with these stress-free, feel-good foods that will detox both mind and body during this very merry season.

 Red & Green Smoothie

This festive smoothie is the perfect way to start off a winter morning. The smoothie is served room temperature and packed with hydrating, healing foods that ease digestion and boost energy.

1 tablespoon of Goji berries

½ tsp of Matcha powder

1/4 tsp of vanilla powder

A pinch of cinnamon

A pinch of ginger powder, or fresh ginger, to taste

1 banana

1 small apple, cored and chopped

1 cup of Christmas Miracle Almond milk

½ tsp of Spirulina powder (or your favorite greens powder – try Aloha Aloha.com)

Optional: 1 tablespoon of coconut butter or coconut manna

Optional: 1-2 scoops of your favorite protein powder (I like Aloha.com or 2-3 tablespoons of hemp seeds)

Soak Goji berries in warm water for around 5 minutes. Meanwhile, blend all ingredients except for the Goji berries in a Vitamix or high-speed blender until smooth and creamy. Pour into a glass and top with Goji berries.

Christmas Miracle Almond Milk

2 tablespoons of Almond butter (I recommend Dastony)

¾ cup of coconut water (I recommend Harmless Harvest)

Optional, to sweeten: 1 Medjool date (soaked in warm water and pitted)

Blend all ingredients in a Vitamix or high-speed blender until smooth and creamy.

 *Glow Tip: After you blend your Christmas Miracle milk, leave it on the counter for a few minutes. A thick layer of almond foam will form at the top. Scoop it out and reserve then add to your smoothie at the end for a festive froth!
