Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with maternal and infant health providers\, participate in a nutrition education workshop\, and engage in a baby-wearing presentation. While creating and planning this event\, they each bring a long-time passion for maternal health and serving marginalized communities. They will each be faciliating different aspects of this event. \n\n\n \n\n\nMikayla Blackson is a rising second-year MPH candidate at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health\, studying Health Policy & Management with a certificate in Sexuality\, Sexual and Reproductive Health. She is a Mama Glow–trained Certified Doula Trainee and serves as the founder of The Well‑Tended Womb Doula Care LLC.\n\n\n \n\n\nNaa Dei Ashie is a rising senior at Brown University in the five-year Undergraduate/Master of Public Health (MPH) program. During the academic year\, she serves as a research assistant at the university’s School of Public Health\, studying childcare sleep environments and their impact on child health outcomes. \n\n\n \n\n\nJadyn Sinclair is a rising sophomore at Brown University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Biology and enrolled in the university’s Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME)\, an eight-year continuum that combines undergraduate studies and medical education.

DESCRIPTION:Nourish Together: Celebrating Breastfeeding Awareness Month\nPresented by: Lacevo \nWe cordially invite you to join Mama Glow and LACEVO on August 8 for an intimate gathering centered on breastfeeding awareness\,\, lactation care\, and innovation in maternal health. \nHosted at The Soft Space by Mama Glow\, the morning will bring together doulas\, lactation professionals\, creators\, maternal health leaders\, and community partners for conversation\, brand discovery\, and connection. \nGuests will enjoy champagne\, mimosas\, and canapé-style light bites\, followed by opening remarks from Latham Thomas\, founder and CEO of Mama Glow. \nThe program will feature a conversation with Sally Grice\, founder of LACEVO\, a mother-owned femtech company known for creating innovative\, wearable hospital-grade breast pumps. After returning to work shortly after the birth of her second child\, Sally became frustrated by the poor pumping options available to working mothers.
