DESCRIPTION:MAMA GLOW DOULA HOMESCHOOL ONLINE WEEKLY PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM \n\nLEVEL 1 – WEEKLY ONLINE PROGRAM – FALL 2026\nPREGNANCY – BIRTH – EARLY POSTPARTUM \nWITH MAMA GLOW FOUNDER\, LATHAM THOMAS \n  \nSince March of 2020 we at Mama Glow have been offering the Mama Glow Doula Homeschool Professional Training Program online to serve our global community of birth workers. \nThe FALL 2026 weekly program covers pregnancy through the early postpartum period and will take place once per week on Sundays over a 6-week period. \nStarting Sunday\, October 4 – November 8\, 2026. Sundays from 12pm-3:30pm ET \nThe course tuition is offered at $825.00 + processing fees. \nPlease continue to read to see the Full FALL 2026 Level 1 online training schedule. \nThe MAMA GLOW DOULA HOMESCHOOL virtual training program includes LIVE digital training via Zoom with Latham Thomas and modules with guest teachers\, assignments to complete at home and with your fellow doula trainees. \nWe care about community.\nMama Glow Doula trainees have time to connect digitally for face-to-face chat online with your doula siblings. Level 1 Doula Trainees will have a designated TA (a Teacher Assistant) to help support you during the program in our private online community. Trainees have an orientation the week prior to class starting and a private group within our online membership platform. \nThis program is open to all regardless of previous experience.\nOur work at Mama Glow is to improve the experience of birth for people everywhere. We are changing the face of maternal health by empowering birthing people at the threshold of change in their lives. We see birth as a unique opportunity to support and empower all people as well as educate society about the innate strength of the body and the sacred process of pregnancy and birth. We offer full spectrum doula support. Our doulas support clients during fertility\, birth clients and new parents\, holding their hands as they transition into this new phase of their lives. We seek to dismantle the stigmas and fears around the birth process for birthing folks. We also work to democratize birth support and have birth doulas available for every person or family that desires one. \nAs birth activism is central to the pulse of our mission and training\, we weave the thread of advocacy with our distinguished\, world-renown and award-winning guest teachers. The course includes preparation and education for birth doula support. This is a CERTIFICATE PROGRAM desgined to advance birthworkers professionally. \nReceive a supreme education with Mama Glow\nThe Mama Glow Professional Doula Training Program has been offered as a course in Gender and Sexuality Studies at Brown University where Mama Glow founder Latham Thomas was appointed Visiting Professor of the Practice of Gender and Sexuality Studies in the Pembroke Center for Teaching and Learning on Women. \nWhat makes Mama Glow unique? \nAside from our world class and one-of-a-kind program content and teaching methodology\, the Mama Glow Doula Professional Training Program includes ongoing Professional and Work-force Development\, which means we hold your hand as you take your certification journey and launch your business or advance your career. We even have an accelerated support program to help you complete your doula certification. \nMama Glow Doula Homeschool Level 1 is a Path To Doula Certification with Mama Glow.\nUpon completion of the 6-week live class and program modules\, doula trainees receive a Mama Glow Doula Trainee Certificate that indicates that they are ready to start their work in the field\, are adequately prepared to support birthing clients\, and are on the path towards doula certification. We offer monthly certification support to ensure you complete the course requirments for doula certification. It is our belief that every doula who emerges from the homeschool program should be equipped to serve birthing people during pregnancy\, birth and the early postpartum period. \nLEVEL 1 is the first step towards full MAMA GLOW DOULA certification. Beyond the homeschool weekly program\, doulas-in-training will need to complete mandatory coursework\, reading\, essays\, attend mandatory LEVEL 1 Modules (virtually) that support continuing education for doulas on the path to LEVEL 1 certification. All this work will begin after your in-class training period. After completion of LEVEL 1 you will be eligible to take the LEVEL 2 program which focuses on Complicated Birth and Postpartum Doula Support. \nLEVEL 1 will prepare newly minted doulas to begin working in all settings\, including in traditionally underserved and under-estimated communities. Many of our doulas have successfully transitioned into full time doula work. Our program is a pathway to securing work as a practicing doula and we provide opportunities for our Mama Glow Doula Trainees (DT) and Mama Glow Certified Doulas (CD) to secure birth clients around the USA and the world through our bespoke Doula Matching service\, private partnerships and community-based doula programs through the Mama Glow Foundation. \nMAMA GLOW DOULA HOMESCHOOL: LEVEL 1 program for prospective birth doulas and practicing doulas who want to deepen their skill sets. \nThe weekly intensive program will be jam packed with content\, but convenient for you to easily integrate into your busy schedule. The course meets once per week on Sundays and you have weekly homework assignments to be completed. Join us for our Mama Glow Ground and Gather with Sherri Doucette \nThis is a safe space to speak what’s on your heart and be supported by your Mama Glow doula community. Space will be held and facilitated by Mama Glow Doula Sherri Doucette. Sherri will guide us in breath work technique\, mindfulness and contemplative practice and tools to help navigate your journey as a practicing doula. Using an integrative approach to healing\, Sherri will guide you through the each session with ease. \nGuided by: Mama Glow Doula Sherri Doucette\, a native of southern California\, Sherri founded Litehouse Wellness in 2017 following the tragic loss of her husband due to gastro-esophageal cancer. Through Litehouse Wellness she endeavors to bridge the wellness accessibility gap for African American men using the healing arts and preventative health education. Sherri is committed to strengthening the family and community\, and reestablishing legacies of health and wellness.
