DESCRIPTION:Join Aetna® & Mama Glow for a breakfast to celebrate the launch of the Shared Decision Making Toolkit & Fast Company Award.\nWe’re honored to share that Mama Glow has been recognized by Fast Company as a World Changing Ideas honoree for our Doula Competency Training Program in collaboration with Aetna®. Come experience our Shared Decision Making Toolkit live and meet like-minded individuals committed to advancing maternal health. \n  \nThis groundbreaking program equips Aetna® Nurse Care Managers with the tools to better collaborate with doulas—bridging gaps in care\, boosting communication\, and driving better outcomes for expecting parents. \n  \nThrough this collaboration\, we’ve accomplished the following: \n✔️ Trained over 250 Nurse Care Managers across Medicaid and employer-sponsored insurance \n✔️ Created a Shared Decision-Making Toolkit to support families and Aetna care teams \n✔️ Advanced culturally responsive care in mainstream health systems \n✔️ Launched a new Mama Glow site to host the Shared Decision-Making Toolkit \n  \nThe gathering will feature a light breakfast and moderated panel discussion with: \n\nDr. Miguel Fernandez\, Regional Chief Medical Officer at Aetna\, a CVS Health Company\nDr. Rhonia Brooks-Gordon\, Board Certified OB/GYN\, FACOG\nMnm-Marlyn Menelas\, Certified Mama Glow Doula\nLatham Thomas\, Founder\, Mama Glow\n\nFriday\, July 18th\, 10:00AM-12:00PM \nThe Soft Space by Mama Glow \n208 N. 8th Street\, Brooklyn\, 11211 \n  \nBy working with Aetna to integrate education on doula care into care management settings\, we’re working toward a future where more families can receive the support they deserve.
