Rebecca Minkoff

Fashion maven Rebecca Minkoff is a natural birth advocate who promotes the power of breastfeeding and trusting your body. She taught the fashion world a thing or two about birth, breastfeeding and bonding when her son Luca was born; she organized her life in a way that he was always with her- at every show you would see Rebecca with Luca either on her hip or in eye’s distance. Just this week she welcomed her new baby girl Bowie into the world. She wanted to give our haute mamas some tried and true tips that have worked for her this pregnancy.

Rebecca Minkoff’s Top Pregnancy Glow Tips

Back Pain Buster-  Trameel is a lifesaver. Really and truly. I would rub my back with this every night for relief.

Stretch Mark Oil– Clarins Stretchmark Oil- I know it’s not completely 100% natural, but it works! It kept my skin from tearing.

Glow Foods- I loved pineapple this time around! Pineapple is full of vitamins and minerals and aids in digestion. This fruit gives the collagen synthesis in your body a boost. The higher the collagen synthesis is, the firmer and flexible your skin will be. Plus, the added nourishment comes from the presence of amino acids and Vitamin C, which ensures that the damaged cells and tissues are repaired quickly. Apply freshly prepared pineapple juice on the face, leaving aside the eye region. Wash off using tepid water after 10 minutes.

Beauty- June Jacobs Anti-Aging Complex Cream- I love this product and it really works for seriously smooth skin. I gave it to everyone at my baby shower in the gift bag.

Shoe Game- I would rock anything flat that I designed. I didn’t do heels much Go for  pretty much any flats on RebeccaMinkoff.com

My Baby Must Haves- My must-haves for Luca are almond milk, nuts, organic fruit pouches, protein bar/kind bar. I make sure to always have food and snacks on hand for him. For the baby…it’s all about breast milk.

Wardrobe- I’m living in James Perse stretch Jersey, A Pea in the Pod Jeans. Check out the Rebecca Minkoff and Pea & the Pod collaboration coming in October.

What got me through Birth– My doula- Latham Thomas, and husband Gavin, and the thought of pooping out my child.

Welcome Baby Bowie!
Welcome Baby Bowie!

When asked that what gets Mommy through birth, Rebecca’s nearly three year old son Luca says, “laughing”. Congratulations Rebecca and Gavin on welcoming the newest edition to your family!
