Glow Foods: Breakfast Criminals Pumpkin Açai Bowl

A huge açaí bowl lover (in fact, that’s how Breakfast Criminals began), I’m excited to share this pumpkin acai bowl recipe with you.
One of the reasons açaí bowls is one of my favorite types of breakfast, is because of the endless variations! Keeping it seasonal, in the fall I add pumpkin, pomegranate and seeds to my acai bowls. You heard it right – pumpkin and acai make a delicious combo! On top of providing a boost of vitamins A, C & E, potassium, antioxidants and enzymes, this pumpkin acai bowl has an incredibly satisfying creamy texture. Get blending!
Ingredients to blend:
Pumpkin Açai Bowl
- 1/2 can organic pumpkin (or 1/2 cup baked pumpkin, chopped in cubes)
- 1/2 cup papaya
- 1 Sambazon unsweetend açaí smoothie pack
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1 tbs. maca for energy boost
- 1 tbs. pumpkin spice
- 1 cup almond milk
Toppings: granola, remaining banana, papaya, cashews, goji berries and pomegranate seeds.
